Red has always been in or out: one season red lips are cool, the next they’re passé. But this F/W 2012, red is back in a big way, and we mean really red. Look for pops of it in a bright skirt (preferably in leather or satin), skinny pants, sky high heels or embellished flats, leather or satin bags, luxurious, loose-weave knits, and trimmed, lady-like suits. We love seeing red right now! Pro tip: for ready-to-wear, stay away from the monochromatic look. It’s too harsh for everyday life. However, you can pair different shades in the same color family, for instance, a color block red sweater like the one above with oxblood denim skinnies and the Jeffrey Campbell ‘Martini’ flats.
